CinePlay serves as a comprehensive media player designed for professional use, offering features such as timecode overlays, markers, masking options, and safe area displays. Its versatility makes it suitable for various applications, including dailies, portfolios, and client feedback sessions.

Timecode

CinePlay utilizes a precise timecode notation, capable of reading timecode embedded within movie files. Additionally, users can apply a draggable timecode overlay on their videos for enhanced reference.

Markers

The application allows users to create markers during playback, which can subsequently be exported in various common marker formats. This feature is beneficial for identifying key moments within the footage.

Safe Areas

CinePlay presents 4:3 and 16:9 title and action safe areas, ensuring that critical elements of the video are properly aligned and visible.

Masking

The tool provides masking capabilities across a range of standard aspect ratios, facilitating the customization of video presentations.

Wide Range of Sources

CinePlay offers flexibility in importing videos from multiple sources, including Camera Roll, Videos app, iTunes file sharing, Kollaborate projects, and direct URLs.

Kollaborate Integration

The integration with Kollaborate allows for seamless access to cloud projects on the go. Users can view videos and synchronize notes with colleagues effectively.

Synced Sessions

CinePlay supports collaborative viewing sessions where users can engage with colleagues in real time, controlling the playback through Kollaborate.

Maintaining Color Accuracy

The capability to upload a Color Decision List (CDL) to Kollaborate and link it to a movie ensures that CinePlay can automatically adjust color correction according to the specified CDL.

How to Import Videos

• Record videos with the Camera app.
• Drag videos into iTunes and sync them to your device.
• Connect your device to iTunes; select your device in the left-hand bar, go to Apps, select CinePlay under File Sharing, and click the Add button to include a movie.
• In CinePlay, click the + button, choose Web URL, and enter the URL (e.g., http://www.example.com/movie.mp4).
• Connect to your Kollaborate cloud account.

Note: All movies must be in H.264 format. Supported audio formats include WAV, MP3, and AIFF.
